Welcome to the IDC Yellow Gakyil pages!

Welcome to the Yellow section of the International Gakyil activities.

We are happy to finally have a web presence and an opportunity to begin collaborating more deeply with our fellow Yellow Gakyil members around the world, as well as the broad IDC membership in general.

Hopefully, our initial IG announcements would have effectively communicated the role of the new IG as collaborators and not a body that dictates terms and attempts to manage our many Gars and Lings from afar.  The daily life, and indeed, growth of the Community continues without interruption.  The arrival of an engaged IG will not halt develop or progress in the many activities that are already happening in our Community around the world.

What we intend to do is to lead by example, carefully investigate organisational improvements, introduce new methods and protocol that should be intuitive to the many leaders within our Community.  Only after careful consideration with internal stake holders and external experts will we move forward with new standards.  New standards will be followed by advice on training and establishment of protocols to achieve these standards.  The introduction of each new organisational enhancement will be a process that evolves with the cooperation of Gars & Lings.  The implementation periods and final achievement of goals will vary according to the complexity and difficulty of the organisational change.

Please, we welcome you all to participate with us.  We have a very long list of tasks at the moment as the “Project” gets started.  We look forward to having many of you join us on Specialist Committees and to help us make a significant impact in the coming year.  Building a stable, professionally functioning IDC is an offering to Rinpoche of immense importance.  It is the best way for us to show to him that his life work, and the precious Dzogchen Teachings that he has transmitted, will remain alive on this Earth for many many years.
