2025 Important Updates

In July 2025, Namkhai Yeshi formally accepted the International Gakyil’s request that he become the Spiritual Guide of the International Dzogchen Community that was founded by Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.

We thank Namkhai Yeshi for his generosity, compassion and guidance, and for sharing his knowledge and experience with us. We are grateful to him for giving us the renewed opportunity to deepen our understanding of the unique essence and for bringing new energy to our Community.

In November 2025, the updated webcast website: www.webcastportal.dzogchen.net went live.

The Webcast platform provides video, audio and written materials from the teachings of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and Namkhai Yeshi. We host live events, replays of teachings, explanation of practices, and practice texts. Some materials are restricted to members of the IDC. 

Webcasts are made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers and by the support of membership. By renewing and maintaining our membership, we contribute to the preservation, continuation and spread of Rinpoche’s precious teachings for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Norbunet was re-activated in May 2025.

All original Norbunet subscribers received welcome back emails and were automatically resubscribed. Instructions for changing settings, opting out, or posting to Norbunet were in the welcome email.

We are happy to announce that our new website — https://melong.online/ was launched in 2025.

This project was financed by the Italian Buddhist Union with the intention of helping an ever-growing audience connect with the Dzogchen teaching and the vision of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and Namkhai Yeshi, while also nurturing a sense of community, shared values, and belonging.

The new website arises from our wish to modernize and enhance both the technical and visual experience of the previous melong.com. Key improvements include: a new and more powerful search engine, a revamped graphic design as well as improved usability, clearer content organization, and easier navigation. The Mirror has been active since 1991, and publishing online since 2014, and this upgrade marks an important step forward.
      
The website is available in English, Italian, and Russian, with a Spanish version planned for the future.

Readers will continue to have full access to our complete archive of 169 issues of The Mirror-magazines and newspapers dating back to March 1990. Please note that the old website – melong.com – was discontinued once the new website was launched.
